Millennium Aviation Flight School is seeking an experienced and motivated Flight Instructor — Class 1 or Class 2 to join our team.
The successful candidate will provide professional flight and ground instruction to student pilots and contribute to maintaining a protected, professional, and effective flight-training environment.
A Class 1 Flight Instructor will also be responsible for providing training to candidates pursuing their Flight Instructor Rating and supporting the development of future flight instructors.
This position is intended for an individual who is interested in long-term employment and professional growth with Millennium Aviation Flight School and who can contribute their aviation experience, knowledge, and skills to the continued development of our organization.
Main Duties
- Provide flight and ground instruction to student pilots.
- Conduct flight training in accordance with Transport Canada regulations, applicable standards, and approved training programs.
- Class 1 Flight Instructors: Provide flight and ground training to candidates working toward their Flight Instructor Rating and assist in preparing them for applicable flight tests and examinations.
- Prepare students for flight tests, written examinations,
and other applicable licensing requirements.
- Monitor, evaluate, and document student progress.
- Maintain accurate student training records and required documentation.
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight briefings.
- Promote safe operating practices and professional aviation standards.
- Communicate student progress and training requirements with the flight-school management team.
- Participate in the development and improvement of flight-training programs and activities.
- Support a positive, professional, and safety-focused learning environment.
- Perform other duties related to flight instruction as required.
Employment Requirements
- Valid Transport Canada Class 1 or Class 2 Flight Instructor Rating.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a flight instructor-Class 2 or 1.
- Valid Canadian pilot licence and required ratings.
- Knowledge of Transport Canada regulations and flight-training requirements.
- Strong knowledge of flight-training practices and aviation safety.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work professionally with student pilots and other aviation personnel.
