DEPARTMENT: MENTAL HEALTH & ADDICTIONSPOSITION LOCATION: OWEN SOUNDUNION AFFILIATION: ONASTATUS: FULL-TIMEREASON TO POST: DIRECT REPLACEMENTWAGE RATE: $45.49 - $64.06Reporting to the Outpatient Mental Health and Addictions Manager, the Nurse Coordinator is responsible for clinical leadership, coordination, and oversight for patient care delivery with a specialized focus on addiction medicine and substance use care. The Nurse Coordinator is responsible for staff scheduling, daily staffing assignments, maintaining equipment and supplies necessary for delivery of care. The Nurse Coordinator will act as a role model for staff promoting effective multi‑disciplinary communication, coordination of care and implementation of evidence based best practices in mental health and addiction medicine. The Nurse Coordinator liaises with other hospital departments and community partners to ensure good working relationships and patient flow. The Nurse Coordinator also works with clients and their families, ensuring care is trauma informed and evidence based, to co‑ordinate care and resolve problems. Successful applicant must have an exceptional functional knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Health Care Consent Act, Evidence based addiction medicine protocols (e.G., META‑PHI, CAMH),
