This is a part-time consulting role designed for an experienced HSE professional who can independently manage the regular activities required to maintain a COR-certified health and safety management system.

The position will have a predictable base workload, scheduled weekly or monthly, with occasional increases in hours around COR audits, client requirements, job bids, project mobilizations and other operational needs.

This is not a full time site safety position. The successful candidate will become a regular part of our team and provide practical, ongoing HSE support to management and operations.

- Monitor applicable OHS requirements and assist with regulatory compliance
- Support hazard assessments, inspections, incident investigations and corrective actions
- Assist with Health and Safety Committee activities and documentation
- Maintain HSE statistics, training records and other required documentation
- Complete client safety questionnaires, prequalification submissions and contractor-management requirements
- Maintain client safety portals and respond to requests for HSE documentation

- Review tenders, RFPs and bid packages for HSE requirements

- Develop project-specific safety plans and mobilization documentation
- Assist the company in meeting client-specific HSE requirements
- Participate in occasional client meetings and project kick-offs
- Conduct occasional field visits, inspections and worker engagement
- Provide practical HSE advice and support to management as required

Qualifications

- Experience with COR-certified companies and COR requirements
- Experience conducting or supporting COR audits
- Ability to independently manage an established health and safety management system
- Experience with client prequalification and contractor-management systems
- Experience reviewing HSE requirements in tenders, contracts and job bids
- Strong technical writing, organizational and document-management skills
- Comfortable working directly with management, supervisors and field personnel
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Experience in construction, energy, industrial,

field services or similar industries is preferred. CRSP, NCSO, COR Auditor or other recognized HSE qualifications are considered assets.

Hours and Schedule

This is a fractional position with a regular, predictable part-time commitment.

The schedule may consist of a set number of hours or days each week or an agreed number of days or hours each month.

Additional hours may occasionally be available or required during:

- COR audit periods
- Major bids and proposals
- Client prequalification
- Project start-up and mobilization
- Significant incidents or investigations
- Periods of increased operational activity

Occasional field travel may be required.

Ideal Candidate

This position would be particularly well suited to an experienced HSE professional or independent consultant who wants a stable, ongoing client relationship without committing to a full-time position.

We are looking for a junior or senior level person, someone who can learn our business, maintain continuity in our HSE program and take ownership of routine safety requirements.

The successful candidate should be practical and comfortable working in a smaller organization where the objective is not to create unnecessary paperwork, but to maintain an effective safety system that meets regulatory, COR and client requirements while supporting the company's ability to win and successfully execute work.

Pay: $35.00-$100.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 12.0 per week

Work Location: In person
