Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Freight Forwarder to join our logistics team. In this vital role, you will coordinate and manage the transportation of goods across various modes, ensuring seamless movement from origin to destination. Responsibilities

- Coordinate international and domestic freight shipments, ensuring timely pickup, transit, and delivery.
- Negotiate rates and terms with carriers, freight providers, and 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) partners to secure optimal service levels.
- Manage customer relationships by providing updates, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction throughout the shipping process.
- Maintain accurate data entry within logistics management systems, tracking shipment statuses and documentation.
- Oversee account management activities by preparing shipping quotes, invoices, and customs documentation.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve overall freight efficiency.




- Conduct inside sales activities by identifying new business opportunities within B2B (business-to-business) markets and nurturing existing client accounts.

Skills

- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable rates and terms with carriers and vendors.
- Excellent customer relationship management abilities to foster trust and loyalty with clients.
- In-depth knowledge of freight operations across multiple modes including air, sea, rail, and road transport.
- Experience with account management and B2B sales strategies to grow business opportunities.
- Proficiency in data entry and logistics systems such as AS400 for tracking shipments and managing documentation.
- Understanding of supply chain processes to optimize freight flows from origin to destination.
- Familiarity with 3PL providers, inside sales techniques, and sales management principles for expanding client base.
