Front Desk & Facility Attendant (Key Holder) – Part-Time
Rise City Baseball | Aurora, Ontario
Location: 240 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON
Position: Part time, Long-Term
Work Location: On-site only — this is not a remote position.
Rise City Baseball is looking for 2–3 reliable, professional and personable part-time Front Desk & Facility Attendants to join our team.
This is more than a traditional front desk position. While you will be responsible for ensuring customers are greeted and assisted when they arrive, you will also be actively involved in the day-to-day operation of our baseball training facility.
Baseball knowledge and previous playing, coaching or related baseball experience is required. We are looking for individuals who are comfortable around players, parents, teams and coaches and understand how a baseball training setting operates.
Experience with Rapsodo baseball technology is a strong asset. Staff may be required to assist coaches and customers with basic setup, operation and troubleshooting of Rapsodo and other training equipment.

- Provide facility tours to prospective customers, teams and coaches.
- Process POS transactions/payments once implemented.
- Deliver a professional, friendly and welcoming customer experience.
Baseball & Facility Operations
- Maintain an active presence throughout the facility rather than remaining solely behind the front desk.
- Ensure cages,
pitching lanes and training areas are ready for scheduled bookings.
- Confirm customers are using the correct space and staying within their scheduled rental time.
- Assist customers with batting/pitching machines and other training equipment.
- Assist with Rapsodo setup, basic operation and troubleshooting when required.
- Help coaches and customers understand how to properly use facility equipment.
- Keep rentals running on schedule, particularly during transitions between groups.
- Monitor activity throughout the facility and ensure facility rules are being followed.
- Escalate equipment, customer or operational issues to management when necessary.
Basic Administration
- Record inquiries from teams, coaches and prospective customers for management follow-up.
- Take accurate messages and communicate important information to management.
- Complete basic paperwork, booking tasks, checklists and administrative duties.
- Document and report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, incidents or customer concerns.
Facility Upkeep & Key Holder Responsibilities
- Complete general tidying and light cleaning throughout each shift.
- Keep the reception area, common spaces and training areas organized and presentable.
- Ensure equipment is properly returned and organized after use.
- Complete garbage/recycling, restocking and basic opening/closing duties.
- Follow facility security and key-holder procedures.
- Be comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for the facility during scheduled shifts.
Requirements
- Baseball knowledge and previous baseball playing, coaching or related experience is required.
- Strong understanding of baseball terminology, training environments and equipment.
- Experience with Rapsodo baseball technology is strongly preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Professional, approachable and confident personality.
- Reliable, punctual and responsible.
- Comfortable working independently and using good judgment when management is not on-site.
- Comfortable learning and troubleshooting technology and training equipment.
- Able to interact professionally with youth athletes, adults, parents, coaches and teams.
- Willing to assist with general cleaning and facility duties as part of the position.
