FT Accountant - Maternity and ongoing The Manor Village Life Centers
Shift Available: Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm The Manor Village Life Centers is looking for an Accountant to join the finance team! This position will initially provide maternity leave coverage for The Campus of Currie Green and is intended to continue as a permanent position to support the continued growth of our business.
Accounting for our Senior’s sector includes:
· Resident billing, accounts receivable and collection follow-up
· Preparation and review of monthly operating financial statements
· Journal entries, accruals and general ledger reconciliations
· Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
· Revenue and expense analysis, including budget variance reporting
· Cash flow monitoring and financial reporting
· Assistance with annual budgets and forecasts
· GST reporting and remittances
· Review of occupancy, lifestyle fees and ancillary revenue
· Reconciliation of point-of-sale (POS) systems and related revenue
· Processing and reconciliation of Moneris payments, merchant deposits and fees
· Support and guidance for community management teams
· Participation in process improvements and finance system initiatives
· Preparation of ad hoc reports for management and other stakeholders

What you offer:
- Full Cycle Accounting experience including payroll
- Proficient in reconciling and maintaining balance sheet, profit and loss accounts
- Capable of compiling monthly financial statements with variance analysis of revenue and expenses
- Superb Communication Skills (written and oral)
- Positive Attitude

- Excel, Yardi “Seniors Housing Software”

Qualifications:
- Relevant University or College diploma
- 4+ years accounting experience preferred
- Self-motivated, professional and flexible
