We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Laborer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn various aspects of construction. This role involves performing a variety of tasks on job sites, contributing to the successful completion of projects while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Assist in various construction tasks including .panel fabrication, material handling, assisting in installation of various materials
- Operate equipment ,scissor lifts , zoom booms safely and efficiently as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks on the job site.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction or related fields
- Familiarity with construction caulking, heavy equipment operation, panel/siding installation, blueprint reading, , and schematics is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks for extended periods.
- Willingness to learn recent skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Must be legally permitted to work in Canada, not a cash job Tools and equipment will be provided by employer
Safety training will be provided by employer
Training for various equipment ( scissor lifts, booms;.) will be provide
- Must be flexible with working hours and able to travel out of town as needed
- Site measuring
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Whims, 4 step for workers, working at heights is desirable
- Must have a driver license and be able to get to construction sites as needed
- Carpool would be available from east Hamilton
- Candidates to be able to work at heights
