LABORER NEEDED

Laborer needed for assistance with heavy duty mechanic/ industrial refrigeration jobs.

Jobs are in and around Brooks, Alberta (Milo, Lomond, Hanna, etc.) and will require travel with potential overnight stays. A license is an asset but can ride along if needed. Hotels, meals and milage are covered if job requires an out-of-town stay.

Responsibilities:

- Jobs consist of work in arena mechanical rooms with refrigeration systems and can include demolition, pipe fitting, installing equipment (condensers, pumps, pipes, chillers, compressors) and service work. Experience with pipe fitting, millwrighting, skilled trade work or mechanic work is an asset but not necessary as work will be advised/overseen by a journeyman refrigeration mechanic.
- Must be able to work and complete tasks independently with direction.




- Must be adaptable with hours as jobs can extend late into the evening or overnight and for several days at a time.
- Work is around 30-40 hours per week, but job dependent, and steady work until end of December 2026 is likely with potential for more hours around March 2027.
- Jobs are paid for hours rendered and wage will reflect skills and abilities.

Skills:

- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions carefully
- Dependable and reliable
- Basic understanding of workplace safety practices and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
