The CNC Machinist Apprentice will work under the guidance of experienced machinists to learn the setup, operation, and programming of CNC equipment while gaining hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in pursuing a career in the machining trade.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up and operating CNC lathes, mills, and other machining equipment
- Measure and inspect parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Load materials and tooling into machines
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized
- Monitor machining processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Support senior machinists with troubleshooting and process improvements.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
- Participate in apprenticeship training and complete required coursework.

Essential Skills:
- High School Diploma
- Reading Text
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic
- Valid drivers license
- Previous manufacturing or shop experience is an asset but not required
- Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching and kneeling
