London Training Centre has a full time position for an Employment Counsellor.This position is responsible for case management of individual clients, meeting one-to-one or conducting group sessions. It provides support services and counselling that assists clients with developing service plans and integrating them into the labour market, schooling, and/or training.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide intake, assessment, employment counselling and case management services for clients.Develop outcome‑based service plans with clients.Remain current on London (region) employment resources, labour market trends, and effective job‑search strategies, including cover letter and resume design, techniques and market monitoring.Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the delivery and administration of all Employment Ontario, Ontario Works and ODSP programs and services.Enter and update client information in databases in accordance with confidentiality and security protocols.Utilize data management software for client data entry; familiarity with Webtracker, EScases and CaMS databases is an asset.Complete reports and documentation on activities as required.Facilitate group employment sessions, attend job fairs,



conduct community outreach, and perform other duties that support the effective delivery of services.QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have a post‑secondary degree related to human services or social work, experience in the employment sector, and experience working with a diverse set of clients with multiple barriers including unemployment, poverty, mental health, addictions and various disabilities. They will possess superior administrative skills, expertise in data management software, and a comprehensive knowledge of the job‑search process, including resume and cover‑letter composition and client support through life transitions.
