Industra Construction Corp. is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on our sewerage pump station project in Parry Sound. While we have this opening in Parry Sound, we have more projects coming up throughout Ontario.This role is ideal for seasoned construction leaders with confidence in running complex sites, managing crews and subcontractors, and delivering high-quality work in active or high-risk environments.You’ll be joining a growing, entrepreneurial team where initiative, expertise, and a can-do attitude are valued.Key ResponsibilitiesSite Leadership & ExecutionSupport and act on behalf of the Superintendent during absences or peak activity periodsLead daily site operations, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with plans and specificationsCoordinate trades, subcontractors, and internal crews to maintain productivity and schedule adherenceProvide hands‑on leadership and direction to field teams, ensuring accountability and performanceSewerage Pump Station ExperienceApply deep knowledge of sewerage pump station construction, including mechanical, civil, and process systemsSupport planning and execution of shutdowns, tie‑ins, and complex sequencing activitiesIdentify constructability issues specific to operating or partially operating facilities and implement practical solutionsEnsure work is performed with full consideration of plant operations, safety, and environmental requirementsPlanning & CoordinationAssist in developing and executing short‑term schedules (e.G., three‑week lookaheads)Proactively identify and resolve conflicts, delays, and site constraintsCoordinate closely with the Superintendent and Project Manager to align field execution with overall project planSafety & QualityChampion and enforce all safety protocols,
particularly in high‑risk wastewater environmentsEnsure all work meets required quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirementsMonitor subcontractor compliance with safety and quality expectationsStakeholder CoordinationLiaise with client representatives, plant operators, subcontractors, and internal teamsSupport communication between field and office to ensure alignment and timely issue resolutionMaintain strong, skilled relationships with all stakeholders on siteDocumentation & ReportingSupport completion of daily reports, RFIs, and site documentation – using Procore softwareTrack progress, deficiencies, and completion activitiesAssist in coordinating inspections and ensuring compliance with local authoritiesScope & AccountabilityActs as the on‑site extension and backup to the SuperintendentResponsible for maintaining continuity of site operations, particularly during Superintendent absencesEnsures work is completed safely, on schedule, and to required quality standardsProvides experienced oversight in a complex, high‑risk wastewater environmentQualifications & Experience10+ years of construction experience, with significant time in a senior foreman or superintendent capacityExtensive, hands‑on experience working on wastewater treatment plants (required)Proven experience managing complex scopes, shutdowns, and tie‑ins within active facilitiesStrong leadership capability with the ability to step into a Superintendent‑level role when requiredRed Seal or equivalent trade certification considered a requirementBenefits (Available from Day One)We offer a competitive benefits package including: Dental care, Extended health and vision care, Disability and life insurance, RRSP matching.Salary: $140,000- $165,000 plus Quarterly BonusPossibility for LOA if no local candidates.#J-18808-Ljbffr
