$85,000 - $100,000 Base Salary + Bonus + BenefitsEnvy Consulting Groupis conducting a confidential search on behalf of a growing and well-established retirement living organization seeking an experiencedExecutive Directorto lead the operations, resident experience, team engagement, and financial performance of one of its communities. This is an opportunity for a dynamic leader who thrives in a resident-focused setting and enjoys balancing operational excellence, people leadership, occupancy growth, and financial stewardship.As Executive Director, you will have overall responsibility for the successful operation of the residence, ensuring exceptional resident care, high employee engagement, regulatory compliance, strong occupancy, and sound financial performance. You will serve as the leader of the community, creating a culture where residents feel at home, families feel confident in the services provided, and employees are empowered to deliver outstanding care and hospitality.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational LeadershipOversee the day-to-day operations of the residenceEnsure a safe, welcoming, and high-quality environment for residents, families, visitors, and staffMonitor service delivery, resident satisfaction, and operational performanceLead continuous improvement initiatives across all departmentsEnsure compliance with all applicable legislation, regulatory requirements, and company policiesResident ExperienceChampion exceptional resident care and customer serviceAddress resident and family concerns in a professional and timely mannerSupport the development of engaging recreational and wellness programmingEnsure dining, hospitality, and support services meet the highest standardsRecruit, coach, mentor, and develop department leaders and staffFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and engagementLead performance management, succession planning,



and employee development initiativesSupport labour relations and employee relations matters as requiredFinancial & Business ManagementManage operating and capital budgetsMonitor financial performance and prepare variance reportingDrive cost control initiatives while maintaining service excellenceOversee payroll administration, purchasing, inventory, and vendor managementOccupancy & Community GrowthPartner with sales and marketing teams to support occupancy goalsBuild strong relationships within the local communitySupport business development and resident retention initiativesParticipate in strategic planning and growth initiativesQualificationsMinimum 5 years of progressive leadership experienceMinimum 2 years of experience within retirement living, seniors housing, hospitality, healthcare, or a related service environmentProven experience managing budgets, operations, and multidisciplinary teamsStrong understanding of regulatory compliance and resident-centered service deliveryExceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building skillsPost-secondary education in Business, Healthcare, Hospitality, Gerontology, Social Work, Nursing, or a related fieldIdeal CandidateYou are a hands-on leader who enjoys being visible within the community. You understand how to balance resident satisfaction, team engagement, occupancy growth, and financial performance.
