Grade 9 French Tutor-Mentor – Southeast Regina

TutorBright is seeking a French-speaking Tutor-Mentor to support Grade 9 students in Southeast Regina. We are looking for a tutor who is confident helping with French language learning, reading, writing, grammar, comprehension, assignments, and test preparation.

This flexible, part-time chance allows you to create a schedule that works around your availability while providing one-on-one academic support and mentorship that helps students build confidence, strengthen their skills, and succeed in school.

Responsibilities:

- Provide personalized one-on-one French tutoring sessions for a Grade 9 student.
- Support the student with French reading, writing, speaking, grammar, comprehension, homework, and assignments.
- Help with test preparation, study skills, and building academic confidence.
- Adapt teaching strategies to match the student’s learning style, grade level, and academic needs.
- Act as a mentor and positive role model, helping the student develop stronger learning habits.

Qualifications:

- Strong proficiency in spoken and written French.
- Comfortable supporting Grade 9-level French.
- Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or youth-support experience is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to creating a positive and encouraging learning environment.

Requirements:





- Must be available on weekends.
- Ability to provide in-home and/or online tutoring.
- Must be located in Regina, preferably in or near Southeast Regina.
- Reliable transportation for in-home tutoring.
- Current or willingness to obtain a vulnerable sector police check.

Additional Assets:

- Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor’s degree program.
- Graduate of or currently enrolled in a B.Ed., B.A., French, Education, or related program.
- Certified Teacher.
- Experience supporting French Immersion or Francophone students.
- Experience tutoring middle school or high school students.
