The Near North District School Boardis hiring anExecutive Assistant to the Superintendent of Business. This is a permanent, full‑time position effective immediately. The role provides highly organized, cooperative, and service‑oriented support to the Superintendent’s portfolio, including legal agreements, contracts, insurance and risk management, international students, reciprocal education agreements, transportation, and committees.Location:North Bay Head Office (in‑person)Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide full confidential administrative and executive assistance to the Superintendent of BusinessEstablish and maintain electronic and hard copy filing systemsCoordinate and attend meetings, prepare and follow‑up on agendas, minutes and correspondenceProofread documents for accuracy, grammar and formattingResearch, anticipate and organize relevant data as neededResponsible for budget tracking and transfers assigned by the Superintendent of BusinessPerform required research and report compilation, including updating Board Administrative Guidelines & Operating ProceduresUndertake special projects and assignments as directed by the Superintendent of BusinessClerical and administrative duties such as data entry, scheduling, answering phones, mail distribution, processing invoices, and responding to routine inquiriesCommunicate daily with a variety of internal and external contactsOther duties as assignedQualificationsCollege Diploma in Office, Executive, or Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and relevant experienceUp to 5 years of related work experience in a senior clerical or executive assistant position, including at least 3 years of progressive experience meeting challenges and seeking resolutions,
preferably in a school board environmentSkills RequiredExceptional customer service orientation and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational and case management abilitiesAbility to manage complex issues with professionalism and discretionDemonstrated experience working with confidential informationWell‑developed planning, organizational, and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently with a high level of attention to detail and accuracyDemonstrated ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of people at all levels within the organization, external agencies, community partners, and the general publicAbility to gather information, analyze, evaluate, formulate and recommend an appropriate course of action and identify areas for improvement in operational efficiencyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAble to demonstrate empathy, judgment, initiative, responsibility, and common senseExceptional ability to discern and resolve issues presented with a high level of urgencyStrong computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and databasesKnowledge and comprehension of School Board operations, policies, procedures, operating guidelines, and organizational structure is an assetCommitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practicesAbility to travel within the district as requiredSalary:$74,127.00 annuallyAll applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada.The Near North District School Board is committed to supporting an inclusive and accessible environment.
