Here's a brief overview of the tasks and responsibilities you'll be able to do:
- Design solutions that meet business needs;
- Identify the functional capabilities, the applications concerned and the impacts of the proposed solutions;
- Produce solution briefs, including non-functional requirements;
- Define technological orientations and ensure their alignment with organizational standards;
- Design solutions based on APIs, microservices, and event architectures;
- Produce solution schematics and templates using Archimate or an equivalent tool;
- Support development teams in the detailed design and integration of solutions;
- Develop strategies for transitioning, migrating, converting and co-locating systems;
- Define and promote best practices for development on the Guidewire platform;
- Act as a technical reference for developers;
- Evaluate impacts related to performance, security, software quality, and maintainability;
- Ensure that solutions comply with the norms and standards of the organization;
- Collaborate with business teams, architecture consultants, developers, Scrum Masters, and delivery managers.
The profile you are looking for is as follows:
- Hold a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent;
- Have a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a Solutions Architecture Consultant or related role;
- Have at least five (5) years of experience with the Guidewire suite;
- Have significant experience as a solution architecture consultant in projects;
- Master one or more solution repositories as well as the Archimate notation;
- Demonstrate experience in cross-application integration with APIs, Web Services and event architectures;
- Master the concepts and methods of deploying application solutions on on-premise and cloud infrastructures (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and CaaS);
- Experience with microservices architectures;
- Master the Guidewire suite, including PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter;
- Know the Guidewire suite APIs;
- Be proficient in the Gosu language and the configuration of the PCF pages of Guidewire products;
- Demonstrate an excellent ability to manage priorities and evolve in a matrix setting;
- Excellent communication and extension skills;
- Be able to quickly escalation critical issues when required;
- Get to know Guidewire Advanced Product Designer (APD) (an asset);
- Hold one or more Guidewire certifications (Associate, Specialist or ACE) (an asset);
- Experience in the field of property and casualty insurance (an asset);
- Experience with multi-site or interprovincial deployments (an asset); This position requires working primarily in French, while requiring a functional command of English for daily tasks.
