Hair Stylist / Barber-Stylist — Part time or Full-Time

One Eighty Salon is looking for one or two friendly, dependable hairstylists or barber-stylists to join our established Vancouver salon.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build their clientele or gradually take over an existing clientele as one of our longtime stylists prepares to retire. We welcome both experienced stylists and newer graduates with strong foundational training.

Compensation

- $20–$23 per hour, based on education, experience and skill level
- Tips are additional
- Opportunity to move into a competitive commission structure as clientele and service sales grow
- Continuing education and skill development opportunities available

Schedule
- Part-time or full-time
- Approximately 2–5 days per week
- Flexible scheduling based on salon needs and the successful applicant’s availability

What We’re Looking For
- Completion of a recognized hairstyling program, with a diploma or certificate demonstrating training in hairstyling fundamentals
- A sound foundation in haircutting, styling, colouring, sanitation and client safety
- Friendly, professional and dependable
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a supportive team environment




- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Willingness to serve clients of different ages and hair types

Experience with mature clientele, classic cuts and styling, short hair, barbering, roller sets or perms would be especially valuable. Applicants do not need to bring an established clientele, as there is an opportunity to work with and gradually transition existing salon clients.
