We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Handyman/woman Assistant to join our maintenance team. In this dynamic role, you will support the skilled technicians and maintenance staff in ensuring the safety, functionality, and upkeep of our facilities. Responsibilities
- Assist with routine facilities maintenance tasks including repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting of equipment and infrastructure
- Support welding, electrical work, and mechanical repairs following schematics and technical diagrams
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and maintenance history
- Help supervise small teams or projects, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and according to standards
- Conduct basic troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment and assist with preventative maintenance activities
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and assisting with safety audits
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to internal requests for repairs or assistance
Experience
- Prior supervising experience in a facilities maintenance or manufacturing environment is highly desirable
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and electrical systems
- Hands-on welding experience along with mechanical knowledge of machinery and equipment
- Familiarity with CMMS software for managing maintenance workflows
- Strong understanding of facilities maintenance practices including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
- Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical drawings effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate across teams and provide clear instructions
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to guide junior team members and manage multiple tasks efficiently
