Do you love Halloween? Are you comfortable getting into character, interacting with groups and, most importantly, scaring people?

Fear Forest is hiring Haunt Actors / Monster Actors for our 2026 Halloween season!

Fear Forest returns for its fifth season this October, transforming our indoor attraction into a dark, immersive haunted experience filled with themed environments, live actors, animatronics and scares.

Our Monster Actors are a huge part of the Fear Forest experience. You'll be assigned to a specific themed area and bring that environment to life by interacting with and scaring guests as they make their way through the attraction.

What You'll Do

As a Fear Forest Monster Actor, you will:

- Perform as a character within an assigned themed area of the haunted attraction.
- Scare, interact with and entertain guests as they move through the experience.
- Remain in character while maintaining a professional and safe environment.
- Wear costumes and, depending on your assigned character, masks for extended periods.
- Stand, walk and move throughout your shift.
- Work in dark environments with theatrical lighting, fog, loud sounds, animatronics and other Halloween effects.
- Assist with the daily set-up and take-down of your assigned area before and after the attraction operates.
- Work as part of a team to create a memorable experience for every guest.

You don't need to be a professional actor. We're looking for energetic, reliable people who are comfortable interacting with guests and aren't afraid to become part of Fear Forest.

Required Availability

Applicants must be available for our scheduled 2026 operating nights:

October 3, 9–11, 16–18,



21–25 and 28–30, 2026.

Typical scheduled hours are

- Wednesdays, Thursdays & Sundays: 6:30 PM – 11:00 PM
- Fridays & Saturdays: 6:30 PM – 12:30 AM

Fear Forest operates on select nights from October 3 through October 30, 2026, with our final night taking place on Friday, October 30. Because our operating season is short, reliable attendance and availability throughout the season are extremely significant.

Qualifications

Applicants must

- Be 16 years of age or older.
- Be available to work evenings and weekends during the Fear Forest season.
- Be comfortable engaging with groups of guests.
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Be able to stand, walk and move around for the duration of a shift, which may be up to approximately 6 hours.
- Be comfortable wearing a costume for an extended period of time, including a mask where required.
- Be comfortable working in a dark haunted-attraction environment.

Experience in haunted attractions, acting, amusement attractions or hospitality is an asset.

Wage: $18.00 per hour
