About Dream Chaserzzz Basketball Inc.

Dream Chaserzzz Basketball Inc. is a basketball development academy serving athletes throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Founded in 2013, our program focuses on developing athletes both on and off the court through competitive team basketball, skill development, training and mentorship.

Dream Chaserzzz has worked with athletes at the NBA, WNBA, NCAA and professional levels, bringing a high-performance approach to youth basketball development.

Our philosophy goes beyond winning games. We want coaches who can teach the game, build relationships, develop athletes and create an environment players want to return to season after season.

The Opportunity

Dream Chaserzzz is currently looking for passionate, knowledgeable and dependable basketball coaches to join our staff for the 2026/27 Winter Season (September–March).

We are looking for coaches who can lead or assist with competitive youth teams participating in leagues such as NPH, CYBL and Coalition, depending on team level and placement.

This role is ideal for someone who understands that coaching youth basketball requires more than X’s and O’s. We want coaches who can communicate, teach, mentor, motivate and hold athletes accountable while maintaining a positive team culture.

Responsibilities

As a Dream Chaserzzz coach, you will:

- Lead or assist with structured team practices and games.
- Teach basketball fundamentals, offensive and defensive concepts, spacing, decision-making and basketball IQ.
- Build organized practice plans with clear developmental objectives.
- Prepare athletes for competitive league and tournament play.
- Provide constructive feedback while holding players accountable.
- Build solid, professional relationships with athletes.
- Communicate appropriately with parents, fellow coaches and academy leadership.
- Create an environment where athletes feel challenged, supported and motivated to improve.




- Promote teamwork, discipline, confidence and leadership.
- Arrive prepared, punctual and ready to coach.
- Collaborate with Dream Chaserzzz coaches and leadership on team development.
- Represent Dream Chaserzzz professionally both on and off the court.

What We’re Looking For

Ideal candidates will have

- Previous basketball playing experience at the high school, college/university, professional or competitive club level.
- Previous coaching, training or youth-development experience.
- Strong understanding of basketball fundamentals and team concepts.
- Ability to teach—not simply demonstrate—the game.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to connect with youth athletes with different personalities and skill levels.
- Professionalism, reliability and consistency.
- A positive but accountable coaching style.
- A genuine interest in athlete development and mentorship.

NCCP/Canada Basketball coaching certification is an asset but not necessarily required. Coaches interested in continuing their coaching education are encouraged to apply.

Winter Season Commitment

Season: September 2026 – March 2027/Location: Vaughan / Greater Toronto Area Program: Competitive Youth Basketball/Competition: League & Tournament Play/ Availability: Evening practices and weekend games/tournaments

Practice and game schedules will vary depending on team assignment.
