We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
- Conduct equipment inspections and identify potential maintenance concerns.
- Repair or replace defective components, parts, and systems.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns in the field when required.
- Operate diagnostic tools and specialized repair equipment.
Qualifications
- Journeyperson certification or equivalent experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic preferred.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and powertrain components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair documentation.
- Valid driver's license; Class 1/Class A license considered an asset.
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
