Operates all heavy equipment for the City; this includes the grader, excavator, skid steer, hydro-vac, loader, backhoe, 3A tandem and sewer flushing equipment.

Required Qualifications:

Education & Certifications

- Valid Class 5 & 3A Saskatchewan driver’s licenses
- Heavy equipment operator ticket
- Satisfactory results from a criminal record check and drivers abstract

Experience

- A minimum of 1-year previous experience in a similar capacity

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Knowledge of equipment maintenance
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must be able and willing to perform all duties of the job in various weather conditions for extended periods
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships
- Good communication and comprehension ability - written and oral

Hours:

- Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-4:00PM or 5:00AM-2:00PM (for snow removal)
- The incumbent will be on call regularly for emergency situations outside of regular office hours

Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $27.89 per hour
