Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership to staff, students, and families, promoting a culture of respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Develop and manage the school’s budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support academic programs and extracurricular activities
- Oversee curriculum implementation, ensuring teaching practices meet educational standards and support diverse student needs
- Lead hiring, onboarding, and professional development initiatives for teachers and staff to foster a high-performance team
- Monitor student progress through data analysis and implement strategies to improve academic achievement across all grade levels
- Maintain compliance with Ontario Ministry of Education policies and accreditation standards.
Including ONSIS reporting, OUAC, EQAO, OSR handling, etc.
- Foster positive relationships with parents, community members, and local organizations to enhance school engagement and support systems
- Business Development including promoting UK Curriculum
- Assist with recruiting students and working with agents
Experience
- Proven leadership experience in an educational setting, preferably as a principal or in a senior administrative role within a high school setting
- Strong background in teaching with a comprehensive understanding of instructional best practices
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets effectively while prioritizing educational needs
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and build collaborative relationships
- Knowledge of relevant laws, policies, and accreditation processes affecting secondary education
- Ability to lead change initiatives and implement innovative solutions to improve school performance
