About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Australia. The successful candidate will help protect organisational systems, networks, applications, and data by identifying security risks, monitoring threats, and supporting effective cybersecurity controls.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor security systems, networks, and alerts for potential threats.
- Identify, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity incidents.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation activities.
- Implement and maintain security controls, policies, and procedures.
- Assist with risk assessments and security audits.
- Analyse security logs and investigate suspicious activity.
- Support endpoint, network, cloud, and application security initiatives.
- Maintain accurate security documentation and incident reports.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to improve security awareness and practices.
- Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and industry practices.

Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Professional experience in cybersecurity, information security, SOC, network security, or a related area.




- Understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Familiarity with security tools, monitoring platforms, and common security frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CEH, or vendor-specific security certifications may be advantageous, depending on the role requirements.
