Home Share Provider / Caregiver – Comox Valley

We are looking for a warm, dependable and experienced caregiver/support worker to become a Home Share Provider for one woman with cerebral palsy and a developmental disability.

She is social, loves people, has a great sense of humour and enjoys being included in everyday life. She uses a walker at home and a wheelchair in the community.

As her Home Share Provider, she would live with you in your home, and you would provide ongoing support with personal care, meals, mobility, transportation, appointments, routines and day-to-day decision-making.

She attends a day program Monday–Friday. During those hours, the Home Share Provider is still responsible for coordinating her overall care, appointments, transportation, communication, documentation and home life. Regular respite is also arranged for approximately three weekends per month.

Compensation for this contracted caregiving role is approximately $56,000–$60,000 per year. This is a contracted caregiving arrangement.





We are looking for someone who:

- Lives in the Comox Valley and has a suitable, welcoming home
- Has experience in caregiving, disability support, healthcare, senior care or a related field
- Is comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility
- Has a valid driver’s licence and a reliable four-door vehicle
- Is organized and comfortable managing appointments, schedules, forms, documentation and communication
- Is dependable, caring, patient and confident making day-to-day decisions
- Is able to make this Home Share role a significant and ongoing professional commitment
