We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Support Worker to provide essential care and assistance to individuals in their homes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness. As a Home Support Worker, you will deliver personalized care, promote independence, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for your clients.

Responsibilities

- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
- Provide patient care including medication administration, wound care, and health monitoring as directed by healthcare professionals
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a secure living environment
- Support clients with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when required, ensuring safety at all times




- Document care provided accurately and communicate any changes in health or behavior to supervisors or healthcare providers
- Offer emotional support and companionship to enhance clients’ overall well-being

Experience

- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience in patient care, senior care, or hospice care settings
- Familiarity with caring for individuals with disabilities or dementia is advantageous
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively when assisting clients with mobility needs
- Experience in caregiving roles that involve meal preparation, cleaning, and general household support
- Strong communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to caregiving

- First Aid/CPR
