Syngenta's R&D; Team is looking for a motivated intern interested in practical experiences within crop protection and development. This position allows you to work closely with researchers on small-plot programs focusing on key crops like wheat, barley, and canola. Candidates will gain exposure to agronomic practices, data collection, and hands-on application in field trials while developing essential qualified skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate small agricultural equipment like tractors • Conduct field trials for experimental products • Identify crop stages and pest types • Collect data adhering to set protocols • Manage site maintenance and research activities
Requirements: • Currently enrolled in agriculture-related post-secondary education • Valid Class 5 driver's license • Ability to lift 20 lbs and work outdoors • Comfortable with respirator usage outdoors • Previous summer experience in agriculture is a plus
