About the Role

We’re looking for a full-time Human Resources Generalist to join our growing Human Resources team. This is a remote position based in the West Coast, supporting employees and managers across Canada Gold’s West Coast and U.S. operations.

This is a hands-on HR role with a strong emphasis on recruitment, along with employee support, onboarding and offboarding, leave administration, HRIS management, benefits coordination, employee records, and general HR administration. You’ll work closely with the Director, People and Culture and Human Resources team to help ensure our people processes are consistent, accurate, and responsive across our growing organization.

You’ll also serve as an important first point of contact for employees and managers, helping answer routine HR questions and ensuring more complex or sensitive matters are appropriately escalated. With Canada Gold continuing to expand, this is a great opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys recruitment while also wanting broad exposure across the employee lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

Manage full-cycle recruitment for retail and support positions across Canada and the U.S.

Create job postings, source candidates, review applications, conduct candidate screening, and coordinate interviews

Prepare approved offers and maintain accurate candidate tracking and recruitment reporting

Provide day-to-day HR support to West Coast employees and managers, answering routine questions about policies, benefits, leaves, and HR processes

Coordinate onboarding, orientation, probationary check-ins, and offboarding administration

Apply established HR policies and help employees and managers understand routine HR processes

Process routine leave requests and maintain accurate leave records

Coordinate accommodation and return-to-work documentation while ensuring confidentiality and timely follow-up

Coordinate benefits enrolment, employee changes, and payroll inputs with payroll and benefits partners

Maintain accurate employee files,



employment agreements, and HRIS records

Process and maintain records related to hires, transfers, compensation changes, and employee departures

Regularly review HRIS and employee information for accuracy and completeness

Coordinate employee communications, training logistics, engagement activities, and workplace health and safety records

Prepare routine HR reports related to headcount, recruitment, turnover, and attendance

Identify opportunities to improve HR administrative processes and support HR initiatives

Recognize and appropriately escalate complex employee relations, compliance, policy, or other higher-risk matters to the Director, People and Culture The scope above reflects the Generalist's broader responsibilities for recruitment, employee records, reporting, training logistics and H&S; administration.

What You Bring

Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

Demonstrated HR Generalist experience across areas such as recruitment, employee support, onboarding, leave administration, and employee records

Experience recruiting and supporting employees across multiple locations

Working knowledge of Canadian employment standards, privacy requirements, and general HR practices

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a quick-paced, multi-location environment

Experience working with HRIS and applicant tracking systems, spreadsheets, and workforce reporting

Strong judgment and an ability to recognize when an HR matter requires additional guidance or escalation

Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential employee information A practical, approachable, and service-oriented approach to supporting employees and managers

Considered an asset

Professional HR designation or progress toward one

Previous experience supporting a retail or multi-location organization

Experience recruiting for both high-volume and specialized positions

Experience with U.S. recruitment or HR practices

Knowledge of U.S. employment practices
