Requirement Summary

- Job Role/Title : IBM MQ & IIB/ACE Admin Consultant (with DevOps)
- Anticipated Start Date : 3 weeks from offer (pending background checks)
- Job Type : Contract Opportunity. Initial contract for 1 year, with good possibilities of further extensions.
- Job Location : Montreal, QC, Canada.
- Work Style : Preferred Hybrid Work - 3 days per week in the office required (Tuesday and Thursday are mandatory).
- Work Hours : 40 hours/week, typically Monday-Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Contractor to work extra time or be on-call : Yes, on-call rotation (Monday to Sunday) as required.
- Rate Cap : Up to CA$ 75/Hr. (on Incorp), depending on relevant experience. The final compensation will be negotiated between the contractor and recruiter based on experience and engagement terms.
- Interview : Teams interviews; 2 interviews

Required Experience :

- Strong expertise in IBM MQ, including operations, administration, and best practices
- Queue Manager Clustering, Multi-Instance HA Queue Managers, Distributed Queue Managers, Pub/Sub
- DevOps and automation experience
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Python and Java development
- Experience integrating IBM MQ with Active Directory and Single Sign-On (SSO)
- Architectural awareness with the ability to challenge the status quo and propose improvements

We are seeking a French-speaking IBM MQ expert with a strong DevOps and Automation focus.

Key Responsibilities/Deliverables

- Evolve the IBM MQ team and platform toward a self-service model that empowers internal clients (the bank's application teams) by:
- Automating and standardizing MQ object deployments
- Developing and configuring tools that allow application teams to manage their own MQ objects
- Improving the user experience while maintaining the bank's security standards

Key Qualifications, Experience and Skillset requirements for this Role :

- Strong expertise in IBM MQ, including operations, administration, and best practices
- DevOps and automation experience
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Python and Java development
- Experience integrating IBM MQ with Active Directory and Single Sign-On (SSO)
- Architectural awareness with the ability to challenge the status quo and propose improvements
- Infrastructure and tooling experience with : AWS (EKS), Docker, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Helm, Terraform, Ansible
- Security -- Strong understanding of security concepts and mechanisms, including:
- Relevant Professional/Industrial Certificates (private/public certificates, TLS)
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Ability to incorporate security into automated solutions
