Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Incoming Quality Control Lead inspector to join our team. This role is responsible for inspecting and verifying all incoming raw materials, extrusions, hardware, glass, and components upon receipt to ensure they meet specifications before being released to any department for use. Experience in quality control, inspection, or aluminum/metal manufacturing is an asset, but not required — we're willing to train the right candidate.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Inspect all incoming materials and products against purchase orders, packing slips, and specifications upon arrival
- Verify dimensions, finish, quantity, and quality of received materials using measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, gauges, etc.)
- Identify and document damaged, defective, or non-conforming materials, and flag discrepancies to management and suppliers
- Approve and release conforming materials for use by production, fabrication, and other departments
- Quarantine and clearly label non-conforming or damaged materials, and track them until disposition is determined
- Maintain accurate inspection records, receiving logs, and quality documentation for all incoming product
- Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to resolve shortages, damages, or supplier quality issues
- Communicate with department leads regarding material availability, holds, and quality concerns
- Assist in identifying trends in supplier quality issues and support corrective action efforts
- Maintain a clean, organized,



and protected work environment at all times
- Support other quality control functions as needed

Requirements

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality
- Self-motivated, reliable, and eager to learn
- Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, and specifications, or willingness to learn
- Proficiency with measuring tools including tape measures, calipers, and gauges (or willingness to learn)
- Understanding of units of measurement and basic math skills
- Basic computer skills for logging inspection records
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs regularly
- Ability to bend, squat, twist, and turn repeatedly throughout the day
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong work ethic and safety-conscious mindset
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments
