Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of tandoori dishes, including meats, vegetables, and bread, using traditional tandoor ovens
- Ensure all food preparation adheres to food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Assist in meal preparation by marinating ingredients, assembling dishes, and maintaining ingredient freshness
- Serve dishes promptly while maintaining presentation quality and consistency
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and workstations
- Follow recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency in taste and presentation
- Support the team during busy service hours by efficiently managing multiple cooking stations
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant kitchen roles, preferably with a focus on tandoori or Indian cuisine
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations within the food industry
- Hands-on experience with serving guests in a food service environment
- Ability to operate tandoor ovens safely and efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- A positive attitude with a passion for authentic cuisine and customer satisfaction
