Role descriptionJob Title : Senior Salesforce DeveloperJob Location: Ontario, CanadaWe are looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer with strong hands‑on experience in Service Cloud and Field Service Lightning (FSL) specifically around Work Orders, Service Appointments scheduling, dispatch and end‑to‑end field service operations. The candidate will build scalable solutions, extend the FSL data model, implement scheduling policies optimization and deliver high‑quality automation and integrations in Agile delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop solutions using Service Cloud FSL centered on Work Orders, Work Order Line Items, Service Appointments, Assets and Entitlements SLAs.Configure and extend FSL scheduling and dispatch capabilities, including Service Territories, Service Resources, Skills, Operating Hours, Travel Policies.Define scheduling policies, work rules, objectives and optimization where applicable.Build dispatcher workflows, Gantt and console enhancements, configuration and/or LWC.Build and enhance technician workflows on Field Service Mobile, including offline/online behavior, forms, checklists and guided flows.Implement automation using Flows, validation rules, approvals, and service process automations aligned to business outcomes.Build reusable components with Lightning Web Components (LWC) for service operations, dispatch, and technician experiences.Develop robust custom logic using Apex triggers, SOQL/SOSL, and asynchronous frameworks such as Batch/Apex Queueable/Scheduled Apex.Ensure solutions comply with governor limits, performance, security and scalability best practices.Perform code reviews, enforce standards and mentor developers on FSL patterns and platform design.Create and maintain technical documentation: LLDs, integration specs, deployment runbooks, test evidence.Design and build integrations with external systems (ERP, Inventory, Asset IoT, FSM) using REST, SOAP, platform events and middleware such as MuleSoft or Boomi (nice to have).Support data migration and data quality for assets, installed base, locations, products, warranties and service history.Troubleshoot complex defects and production issues, provide RCA,
fix-forward plans and preventive measures.Collaborate with BAs, QA, Architects and Product Owners in Agile/Scrum.Support CI/CD releases using Git, DevOps tools, Copado, Gearset, Jenkins, Azure DevOps.Own sprint deliverables, estimates, task breakdown, technical solutioning and timely delivery.Required Skills ExperienceMust HaveHands‑on ➜ Strong Salesforce development: Apex Triggers, SOQL/SOSL, LWC, Lightning Experience.Solid functional/technical understanding of Service Cloud processes: cases, service operations, entitlements, milestones (preferred).Strong FSL experience including Work Orders, Service Appointments lifecycle; scheduling dispatch concepts; Service Territories; Skills; Operating Hours; Scheduling Policies.Resource assignment optimization – understanding and configuration.Exposure to Field Service Mobile workflows, offline considerations (preferred).Solid understanding of Salesforce security model – Profiles, Permission Sets, Roles, Sharing, OWD, FLS.Experience with integrations: REST, SOAP, error handling, logging and monitoring.Experience with asynchronous processing: Batch, Queueable, Future for field‑service use cases.Good to HaveDispatcher Console enhancements and custom UX using LWC.Experience with Experience Cloud partner/customer/technician portals for service requests & WO visibility.Experience with inventory, parts, returns, asset‑intensive industries preventive maintenance.Exposure to Data Loader/ETL tools, large data volumes, performance tuning.DevOps with Copado, Gearset; scratch orgs, packaging, automated deployments.Salesforce FSL domain exposure (Preferred).Work Order creation, dispatching, technician assignment, completion and closure.SLA/Entitlement alignment with field‑service commitments.Scheduling constraints: skills‑based matching, travel time, time windows, capacity, shifts.Mobile execution:
