Duties
- Measure, cut, and install insulation materials such as fiberglass, foam board, or spray foam according to project specifications and blueprints
- Use hand tools including knives, drills, and staple guns to secure insulation properly in walls, ceilings, floors, and attics
- Read and interpret construction blueprints to determine insulation placement and specifications
- Apply caulking around seams and joints to improve insulation performance and prevent air leaks
- Install drywall panels when necessary to prepare spaces for insulation work
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during installation processes to maintain a secure work environment
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and accurately
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or related trades is highly desirable
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and understanding construction plans is a plus
- Hands-on experience with caulking, drywall installation, or working with hand tools is preferred
- Knowledge of different insulation types and installation techniques is beneficial
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials safely
- Strong attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving
