Internal applicants are due by June 10, 2026.OverviewDIVERSEcity Community Resources Society is currently seeking a Program Coordinator for the Future Leaders Youth Employment Program in Surrey, BC. Reporting to the Manager, Youth Employment Programs, this role supports the coordination and delivery of the federally funded Future Leaders program, which assists youth ages 15-30 with employability skills and career success.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Manager and Employment Specialists with program activities and services.Conduct initial participant intakes, assess needs, and refer to appropriate resources.Lead outreach to attract new youth participants and promote the program through community partnerships.Maintain accurate records of meetings, tasks, and participant data.Provide information and make referrals for life and employability services.Build and maintain relationships with community service providers.Plan, organize,
and attend community events such as forums and job fairs.Compile and maintain community resource inventory.Collaborate with other staff and stakeholders to develop service strategies.Schedule and support volunteers or practicum students.Coordinate effective team communication for seamless service delivery.Assist in program data tracking, reporting, and financial record keeping; comply with funder directives and deadlines.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsDiploma in human/social services or related field, preferably with Career Development Practitioner background.At least two years of experience in project coordination, administration, volunteer management, and work with youth, immigrant, or vulnerable populations, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience in job development and job search techniques is preferred.Strong understanding of workforce integration and immigration and settlement issues.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Exceptional organisational and time‑management skills.Team-oriented and multicultural teamwork ability.Knowledge of community resources and partnership building.Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.Proficiency with MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, internet research, Canva, Doodle Poll, and social media.RequirementsA Criminal Record Check is required.EEO StatementDIVERSEcity is committed to employment equity and encourages applications from people of all gender identities and expressions, persons with disabilities, Indigenous peoples, and visible minorities.
