Job SummaryWe are currently looking to fill a Developmental Support Worker (DSW) position in Mount Brydges.Flexible AvailabilityMust have flexible availability for 3-6 hour shifts, typically before and after school hours, weekends and full availability on PA days. Ideal availability includes weekdays from 06:30-08:30 and/or 15:30-20:30 with weekend and summer flexibility from 07:00-15:00, 11-19:00 and/or 15:00-20:30.Job DutiesIn an efficient, kind and safe manner, assist clients with activities of daily living as required, including bathing, feeding, washroom assistance, etc.Monitor and supervise clients and the environment to ensure safety, reporting concerns to the Director or designate.Assist with the protected arrival and departure of participants.Perform laundry, cleaning, end‑of‑day routine and submit completed forms to Director.Maintain accurate documentation and records.Assist clients with mobility as required.Respond calmly and professionally in emergency situations and assist as directed.Assist the Community Nurse with client health assessments.Assist with or lead activity programs as required.Report any actual or potential problems/situations to the Director or designate.Complete and submit incident reports.Perform other position-related duties as required.Required Education,
Skills and QualificationsDSW and Safe Management Training certificates required.Additional certificates such as U-First, safe food handlers certificate etc. are encouraged.Valid Driver's License and access to a vehicle required.Valid First Aid and CPR.Valid and recent vulnerable sector screening complete.Valid and recent (within the past 12 months) TB Test.Experience with pediatric behaviours and complex medical care needs.Must have a valid DSW certificate with minimum 2 years field experience and current Safe Management Training.Job DetailsJob Types: Part-time, Casual.Part-time hours: 3-20 per week.Pay: $22.00 – $26.00 per hour.Salary$22.00 to $26.00 /hour.BenefitsCasual dress.Flexible schedule.Work LocationIn person.About Lending HandLending Hand is an in‑home health care provider that assists individuals and families.
