Responsibilities

- Prepare compilation, review, and audit working-paper files under the supervision of senior team members.
- Prepare year-end adjusting entries and draft financial statements.
- Analyze general ledger accounts and investigate unusual or unsupported balances.
- Communicate with clients to obtain information and resolve routine accounting matters.
- Prepare corporate and personal income tax returns and supporting schedules.
- Identify accounting, tax, and control issues and bring them to the attention of the engagement senior or manager.
- Assist with coaching or reviewing the work of junior team members, where appropriate.
- Manage assigned work to agreed budgets and deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills

Required

- Degree or diploma in accounting, business, or a related field
- One to three years of relevant public accounting experience
- Experience preparing working-paper files and income tax returns
- Strong Excel and professional communication skills

Preferred

- CPA designation or active enrolment in the CPA program
- Experience with audit and review engagements
- Familiarity with Caseware and TaxPrep

Pay: $45,000.00-$87,000.00 per year
