DYMACO has a energetic team to ensure the firm’s ability to handle major multi-disciplinary projects and has extensive experience in project planning, pre-feasibility/feasibility, and technical design of buildings, surface infrastructure and underground infrastructure. JOB SUMMARY

Our electrical team is involved in a wide range of projects in the mining, industrial, power generation, commercial and institutional sectors. This position will work directly with clients and our multi-disciplinary team, under the supervision of the electrical team lead, to deliver electrical engineering from concept and studies through detailed design, construction support and commissioning. The intended focus of this role will be in the mining and industrial fields; assignments in other sectors may be required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design and analyze electrical systems for new and existing facilities, including medium- and low-voltage distribution, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, motors, grounding, lighting and emergency power.
- Develop and review single-line diagrams, schematics, layouts, cable schedules, specifications, scopes of work and other electrical design documents.
- Develop and review controls and instrumentation schematics.
- Perform field investigations and assessments of existing electrical systems and develop practical upgrade or repair recommendations.
- Support proposals, study reports, engineering specifications, cost estimates and contract documents.




- Manage and coordinate projects with clients, contractors and other disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget and deliverables.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers and drafting personnel to develop coordinated electrical drawings and deliverables.
- Provide technical field support during construction and commissioning, including RFIs, Site Instructions, field reviews and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with Structural, Mechanical and Architectural disciplines.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in good standing with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
- 5-10 years of progressive electrical engineering experience.
- Experience in an engineering consulting environment, including direct client interaction and multi-disciplinary coordination.
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, Canadian Electrical Code, applicable CSA standards and related code requirements.
- Practical experience with industrial power distribution, protection, motor control and electrical equipment specification.
- Mining and heavy industrial project experience.
- Instrumentation and controls experience, including instrumentation, PLC/DCS or control system integration.
- Experience with electrical system study and design software such as ETAP, SKM,



EasyPower or similar will be considered an asset.
- Project management experience, including coordination of scope, schedule, budget and deliverables, will be considered an asset.
- Construction, commissioning and field engineering experience will be considered an asset.
- General working knowledge of other engineering disciplines and experience coordinating multi-disciplinary designs.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and exercise sound engineering judgment.
- Solid organizational and time management skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a commitment to continual improvement and professional development.
