International Language Credit Teacher Positions (2026-27 School Year)

The Durham Catholic District School Board invites applications for Teachers to teach high school level International Language Credit courses to students for Grades 9 through 12.

In-person courses will be offered in the following sessions:

Arabic, Italian, Mandarin, Spanish, Tamil, Korean:

Dates: October 3, 2026, to May 29, 2027 (Saturdays 3.5 hours – 8:30 am to 12:00 pm)

Location: Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School - 1375 Harwood Ave., Ajax Please note there are no classes on the following Saturdays due to holidays: October 10, December 19 & 26, January 2, February 13, March 13, 20 & 27, and May 22.

Ukrainian, Polish, Greek:

Dates: October 7, 2026, to May 10, 2027 (Wednesdays 3.5 hours – 5:30 - 9:00 pm)

Locations: Polish / Greek - All Saints Catholic Secondary School - 3001 Country Lane, Whitby Ukrainian - Archbishop Anthony Meagher Adult & Continuing Education - 540 Rossland Road West, Oshawa Please note there are no classes during the Christmas Break or March Break.

NOTE: Courses will run dependent on student enrolment.

Secondary teachers with the DCDSB will have priority consideration over applicants from the elementary or occasional teacher units or any external applicants.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

- Certificate of Qualification - Certificate of Qualification (must be in positive standing)
- Intermediate/Senior Basic Qualifications

Desired:





- Qualifications in the subject areas or be deemed capable as per definition in the OECTA Secondary Teacher Collective Agreement
- Relevant AQ’s for appropriate subject areas

Rate of Pay: Will be paid according to the Continuing Education hourly rate, $57.84 / hour, as per the current collective agreement for each designated day of the program. Posted date: Thursday, September 10, 2026
