and supporting workers and subcontractors to ensure the highest safety standards are maintained.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and manage safety records, incident data, and compliance trackingReview safety documentation and provide coaching and feedbackSupport safety planning and deliver worker orientationsLead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and training sessionsMonitor employee and subcontractor compliance with safety regulationsConduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigationsCommunicate safety issues and risks to project leadershipPromote and enforce a strong culture of safety on siteProactively identify hazards and implement risk-reduction strategiesQualifications & RequirementsMinimum 5 years of field safety experience(required)Experience in industrial or heavy construction preferredStrong interpersonal and communication skillsPost-secondary education in a related fieldStrong organizational and time management abilitiesAbility to work independently and within a team environmentWillingness to work shift schedules as requiredSkills & Certifications (Preferred)Safety designation such as CRSP, RCSO, CHSC, CSS, CIH, or ROHOccupational First Aid Level 3 (or willingness to obtain)Experience with BCCSA COR programs and auditsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsHigh level of professionalism and integrityWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly and contract ratesOpportunity to work on a major local projectSupportive and safety-driven team environmentOngoing professional development and trainingAccommodation RequestsWe provide accommodation during the application process if needed.
