We are looking for Journeyman Plumbers, 4th Year Apprentices, and 3rd Year Apprentices to join our growing Service Department.

Mainland Plumbing & Heating Ltd. is a family-owned plumbing and heating company serving the Greater Vancouver, Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland. Our Service Department works with commercial, strata, property management and residential customers, responding to scheduled service calls as well as emergency plumbing and heating needs.

Positions Available:

- Journeyman Service Plumbers / Plumber Technicians
- 4th Year Plumbing Apprentices
- 3rd Year Plumbing Apprentices

Certification & Apprenticeship Requirements:

- Journeyman applicants must hold a valid, recognized plumbing trade certification/ticket.
- Apprentices must be registered in a recognized plumbing apprenticeship program and currently be in their 3rd or 4th year.
- Proof of applicable certification, registration or trade qualifications may be required.

Service Department Responsibilities:

- Responding to residential, commercial and strata service calls
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting plumbing issues
- Completing plumbing repairs, maintenance and installations
- Responding to emergency plumbing and heating calls
- Drain cleaning, hydro-jetting and camera inspections
- Hot water tank and plumbing equipment repairs and installations
- Identifying deficiencies and making recommendations to customers
- Communicating professionally with customers, property managers and building representatives
- Completing accurate service reports, job notes and photos through our service management system
- Maintaining a clean and organized service vehicle
- Following company safety procedures and industry standards
- Working independently and as a team





On-Call & Flexible Scheduling: Our Service Department provides 24/7 emergency service and operates on a rotating on-call schedule.

Candidates must be comfortable with a service-based schedule that may include:

- Regular daytime service calls
- Rotating on-call shifts
- After-hours emergency calls
- Overnight service calls when required
- Weekend and holiday shifts when scheduled
- Schedule adjustments based on customer and business needs

What We're Looking For:

- Journeyman: Valid plumbing trade certification/ticket required
- Apprentices: Registered 3rd or 4th year plumbing apprentice
- Strong plumbing knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Service plumbing experience is an asset
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Willingness to participate in the rotating on-call schedule
- Valid driver's licence is an asset
