JUNIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER & CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

Mr. Signs is looking for a creative, friendly, and detail-oriented Junior Graphic Designer & Customer Service Representative to join our team in Etobicoke.

We are an established, fast-paced sign and printing company producing custom storefront signs, vehicle graphics, banners, window graphics, decals, wall graphics, dimensional lettering, and other promotional products.

This is a hands-on position combining graphic design, order processing, and customer service. The successful candidate must be comfortable designing on a computer, answering phones, helping walk-in customers, taking accurate orders, and building positive relationships with our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design and Prepress

- Design signs, banners, window graphics, vehicle graphics, decals, and printed materials
- Prepare accurate print-ready and cut-ready production files
- Recreate customer artwork, logos, and low-resolution files when necessary
- Make customer-requested revisions quickly and accurately
- Check spelling, measurements, colours, resolution, bleeds, and cut lines
- Set up files for large-format printing, vinyl cutting, and laser production
- Organize artwork and maintain properly named customer and production files

Customer Service and Order Management:
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer inquiries professionally
- Greet and assist walk-in customers
- Listen carefully to customers and help determine their signage and printing needs
- Take new orders and record all specifications, measurements, quantities, deadlines, and installation details accurately




- Communicate pricing and assist with preparing quotes
- Follow up with customers regarding artwork approvals, revisions, payments, and order status
- Build and maintain positive, long-term relationships with clients
- Respond to emails and online inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate with the production and installation teams to ensure orders are completed correctly and on schedule
- Contact customers when orders are ready for pickup or installation
- Handle customer concerns calmly and help find practical solutions
- Assist with invoicing, payments, and general front-office duties when required
- Support light production and finishing duties during busy periods

Qualifications
- College diploma, certificate, or equivalent training in graphic design
- Solid working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
- Good understanding of typography, layout, colour, sizing, and resolution
- Comfortable working with exact measurements and scaling artwork
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confident and professional when speaking with customers in person, by phone, and by email
- Strong attention to detail, particularly with spelling, measurements, pricing, and order information
- Organized and able to manage several orders at the same time
- Friendly, dependable, punctual,



and willing to learn
- Able to follow instructions and accept constructive feedback
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Sign-shop, print-shop, retail, or customer-service experience is an asset but not required

The successful candidate must be able to move comfortably between designing, answering phones, serving customers, taking orders, and communicating with the production team.

You must be willing to learn, take ownership of your work, and help wherever needed in a busy sign-shop environment.

- Schedule: Monday to Friday (8:30 to 5:00pm)
- Compensation: Based on skills and experience
