About Us
Groovy Gym Bus brings movement, play, and confidence-building directly to kids across Toronto and the GTA. Our mobile gym rolls up to schools, daycares, camps, community centres, and birthday parties, turning any parking lot into a place where kids get active and have fun. Alongside the bus, we also deliver onsite programming inside our partners' spaces—classrooms, gyms, multipurpose rooms, and outdoor areas—so kids can take part wherever they already are.
We're now expanding our programming to include Yoga and Mindfulness, and we're looking for a coach to help us launch it.
The Role
You'll be the founding coach for our new Kids Yoga & Mindfulness program. That means you'll both lead sessions and help shape what the program looks like: designing age-appropriate classes, adapting them to both our mobile bus format and onsite delivery at schools, daycares, and camps, and building the routines and materials that future coaches will use. Much of this work will happen onsite, so you'll be comfortable arriving at a new location, reading the space, and running a great session with whatever room you're given.
You'll work closely with the owner to make yoga and mindfulness a signature part of the Groovy Gym Bus experience.
What You'll Do
- Lead engaging, playful yoga and mindfulness sessions for children roughly ages 3–12, in groups of varying size
- Design a curriculum of themed classes (breathing games, animal poses, stories-in-motion, calming and focus exercises) tailored to different age groups
- Deliver onsite programming at schools, daycares, camps, and community centres, including recurring weekly sessions, one-time workshops, and special events
- Adapt sessions to run on the bus, in classrooms, gyms, and outdoor spaces, with limited setup time and portable equipment
- Coordinate with site contacts on scheduling, space, and any needs specific to their group
- Create a safe, inclusive environment where every child—regardless of ability, temperament, or experience—feels welcome
- Manage group dynamics with warmth and confidence, including redirecting high-energy or reluctant participants
- Communicate with teachers, daycare staff, and parents about what kids did and how they can continue at home
- Help develop take-home resources, program descriptions, and marketing content for the recent offering
- Maintain equipment (mats, props) and uphold our safety and cleanliness standards
- Travel between sites across Toronto and the GTA

- Standard First Aid & CPR-C (current)
- Vulnerable Sector Check (completed within the last 6 months, or willingness to obtain before start)
- Genuine enthusiasm for working with kids and the patience, energy, and humour to match
- Reliable transportation to reach sites across the GTA
