Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in providing high-quality food service. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent teamwork skills, and a strong work ethic.

Prior experience in a kitchen setting is a plus but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable culinary experience in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Support chefs and cooks with ingredient organization and inventory management
- Ensure proper storage of food items and monitor expiration dates
- Help with dishwashing and sanitation procedures to ensure a hygienic workspace




- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Follow all safety protocols and proper handling procedures for kitchen tools and equipment

Requirements

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds
- Basic knowledge of food safety standards is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends if required
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn current skills
