Position Overview

CW Kitchens is looking for an experienced Kitchen Designer to join our team. This role combines custom cabinetry design, sales and project coordination, working across both high-end retail projects and new construction builder accounts.

On the retail side, you will work directly with homeowners to design and sell high-end custom cabinetry, guiding clients from their initial ideas through design, selections, quoting and final approval.

On the builder side, you will work primarily with the builder's point of contact to develop cabinetry standards and manage batches of homes based on those standards. This requires robust organization, documentation and communication to ensure changes and specifications are accurately carried through each job.

What You'll Do

Design & Retail Sales

- Design high-end custom kitchens, vanities, built-ins and other cabinetry.
- Meet directly with homeowners to understand their style, needs and budget.
- Develop functional and creative cabinetry layouts.
- Guide customers through cabinetry styles, finishes, hardware, accessories and upgrades.
- Create and present designs, renderings, estimates and quotations.
- Confidently discuss pricing and help customers make design decisions.
- Follow up with prospective customers and move projects through the sales process.
- Work with engineering and production to ensure designs are accurate and buildable.

Builder Projects

- Communicate directly with builder contacts regarding designs, specifications,



changes and orders.
- Develop and maintain standard cabinetry packages for builder projects.
- Process batches of homes based on approved standards, incorporating job-specific changes and upgrades.
- Review architectural drawings, purchase orders, selections and specifications.
- Maintain accurate documentation of changes, approvals and communication.
- Identify missing or conflicting information and work with the builder to resolve it.
- Manage multiple homes, deadlines and project requirements at the same time.

Design Software Our primary cabinetry design program is Cabinet Vision, and we use Vortex Spaces for high-quality customer renderings.

Cabinet Vision experience is strongly preferred, but we are open to experienced cabinetry designers who are tech-savvy and motivated to learn.

We will provide training and support, but we also expect you to take initiative through online learning, independent practice and self-development to become proficient in the software.

What We're Looking For

- Previous kitchen or cabinetry design experience is required.
- Previous customer-facing sales experience is required.
- Strong understanding of cabinetry construction and kitchen design.
- Experience with high-end or custom cabinetry is strongly preferred.
- Cabinet Vision experience is preferred,



but training is available for the right candidate.
- Strong ability to read floorplans, architectural drawings and measurements.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization and documentation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable discussing budgets, pricing and upgrades with customers.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new software.
- Able to manage multiple clients, jobs and deadlines at once.
- Builder or new construction experience is an asset.

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
