Freebird Market is looking for reliable, hardworking, and customer-focused Kitchen Personnel to join our Bay Adelaide Centre location.

We are currently looking for part-time and full-time Kitchen Personnel to join our team.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen setting, is comfortable interacting with customers, and takes pride in preparing and serving quality food.

Position Overview

As a member of our kitchen team, you will support daily food preparation and production, assist with customer orders, maintain food displays, and help ensure the kitchen operates efficiently while maintaining our standards for quality, cleanliness, and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare salads, sandwiches, wraps, parfaits, and other grab-and-go items
- Assist chefs with daily food preparation and production
- Grill sandwiches and warm pizzas to order
- Bake or prepare items such as cookies, croissants, and other baked goods
- Replenish hot food items while maintaining quality, freshness, and presentation

Merchandising & Food Displays
- Set up and maintain attractive food displays
- Ensure products are properly labelled and merchandised
- Keep display areas clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the day

Customer Service
- Provide friendly and professional customer service




- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Answer basic menu questions and assist customers when needed

Cleaning & Food Safety
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed
- Maintain clean and organized workstations
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company standards

Qualifications
- Previous kitchen, café, restaurant, or food service experience is an asset
- Comfortable working in both food preparation and customer-facing roles
- Able to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
- Must be available Monday through Friday between 7:00am and 5:00pm
