We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Prep to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing ingredients and assisting with daily kitchen tasks to ensure smooth operations and high-quality food preparation. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone passionate about food and eager to grow in a kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Merchandise produce in a logical and attractive way to promote sales
- Manage and maintain the freshness of produce
- Wash, peel, and chop vegetables and fruits
- Portion and label ingredients and food items
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Receive and store deliveries properly, logically, and efficiently
- Support team front and back with a variety of tasks
Qualifications:
- Good observational skills and ability to act based on observations
- Strong physical strength and speed
- Prior kitchen experience is helpful but not required
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a rapid-paced environment and ability to eventually understand the workflow and work with efficiency without instruction
- Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
