As an Intermediate Structural Engineer within our Process and Mine Infrastructure Design (PMID) Group, you'll contribute to projects that demand technical excellence, collaboration, and innovation—while continuing to grow alongside experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams.Your ImpactDesign safe, reliable, and efficient structural systems for industrial and mining facilities from concept through constructionDevelop structural layouts, calculations, analyses, specifications, material take‐offs, and cost estimates with increasing independenceContribute to studies ranging from early‐stage conceptual design to detailed engineering and construction supportGuide and collaborate with structural designers through sketches, markups, and technical directionCoordinate with mechanical, process, piping, and electrical teams to ensure integrated and constructible solutionsParticipate in site visits to assess existing conditions, gather measurements, and support construction activitiesSupport proposal development, technical reports, and client presentationsThe Skills That Set You ApartBachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree considered an asset)Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario or eligibility to transfer; experience in heavy industrial and/or mining environments4+ years of hands‐on experience designing concrete and steel structures for Canadian industrial or mining projectsStrong working knowledge of Canadian codes and standards,
particularly steel and concrete designExperience with structural analysis and design software such as RISA‐3D, S‐Frame, STAAD Pro, SECURE, or SAPWillingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, including short‐term rotations at remote sitesClear technical communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environmentCompensationAB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $85,000 - $112,800MB & ON: $77,700 – $107,000NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $76,900 – $102,100Disclosure: The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
