About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Cybersecurity Services to provide strategic leadership in the development and implementation of government-wide cybersecurity programs. The successful candidate will work with a team of professionals to ensure the security and resilience of digital services for the public.
This role involves collaboration with various ministries to meet security and privacy requirements, as well as shaping a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy that aligns with business objectives. The Executive Director will have significant autonomy in recommending and influencing security policies and controls, and their decisions will have a government-wide impact,
setting the foundation for consistent security practices and compliance with legislative and privacy requirements.
Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a background in senior leadership, cybersecurity, risk management, privacy, governance, digital service, or public sector experience. A robust understanding of cybersecurity technologies, threat landscapes, and emerging technologies is essential.
The role requires a candidate with a Bachelor's degree or post-secondary diploma in a related field, and qualified certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are considered assets. The ideal candidate will have a diverse and non-linear career path, demonstrating expertise in areas such as security architecture, digital transformation, and incident response.
