Build Your Practice, Without Practising Alone
At Oceanside Psychology Group, psychologists have the independence to build a practice around the work they do best, with the connection, clinical community, and administrative infrastructure of a group practice around them.
We welcome applications from both licensed psychologists and those eligible for Provisional licensure as a psychologist with the CHCPBC. Supervision may be available for Provisional licensees completing the licensure process.
Oceanside Psychology Group is a psychologist-led, fee-for-service private psychotherapy practice conveniently located at 3292 Production Way in Burnaby, BC, right next to the Production Way-University SkyTrain Station. We provide individual, couples, and family therapy to youth and adults, in person and online across British Columbia.
This position can be fully in person from our Burnaby office or hybrid, combining in-person and virtual work.
A practice built for depth
We believe good therapy is about more than moving people through quickly. Our clinicians bring different theoretical orientations and areas of expertise to their work, but share an interest in understanding people deeply and helping create meaningful, lasting change.
As a psychologist here, you’ll have genuine autonomy over your clinical work. We want you to practise in a way that reflects your training, strengths, interests, and professional judgment, not fit yourself into a prescribed model.
And while your clinical work is your own, you don’t have to do it in isolation. We hold monthly clinical consultation groups where clinicians can bring challenging cases, learn from one another, and continue developing their work.
What you can count on
- A steady flow of referrals from our ongoing advertising, so you’re not building a caseload from scratch
- Scheduling and administration handled, so your energy can go to your clinical work
- Genuine clinical autonomy and the freedom to work from the approaches that fit you and your clients
- Monthly clinical consultation alongside colleagues who are invested in their work
- Opportunities to develop a caseload around your clinical interests and areas of expertise
- The flexibility to work fully in person or combine in-person and virtual work
- A beautiful, modern Burnaby office with large windows and a free on-site gym
- A secure cloud-based EHR, so you can complete notes from anywhere
- Supervision may also be available if you’re pursuing licensure as a psychologist with the CHCPBC
