Overview

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, food preparation, and staff management.

Job Summary: The Line Cook will assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in the daily operation of the kitchen, ensuring the preparation of high-quality dishes and the smooth running of the kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role is a stepping stone to higher positions within the culinary team and offers ample opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

- Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation and presentation of all menu items according to the standards set by the Executive Chef.
- Supervision: Oversee kitchen staff in the absence of the Sous Chef, ensuring that all food production tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
- Quality Control: Maintain the highest quality standards for all dishes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Inventory Management: Assist in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and proper storage of food supplies.
- Sanitation: Ensure that the kitchen and all food preparation areas are clean, sanitary, and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Menu Development: Contribute to menu planning and development,



including creating daily specials and new menu items.
- Training: Help train and develop kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Cost Control: Assist in controlling food costs by minimizing waste and optimizing resources.

Qualifications:

- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a high-volume, fine dining or upscale casual setting.
- Skills: Strong culinary skills, including proficiency in a variety of cooking techniques and cuisines. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team, maintain composure under pressure, and solve problems effectively.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Passion: A genuine passion for cooking and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
