We currently have an open position for a Logistics Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for the day-to-day company driver assignments, asset utilization, and overall transportation success to satisfy customer requests. Assist in office procedures regarding transportation and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, negotiate, and tender inbound and outbound freight to third-party carriers to ensure timely delivery, cost-effective transportation, and customer satisfaction




- Respond to and resolve internal and external customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Monitor carrier performance, address service failures, and hold third-party carriers accountable for meeting established service expectations
- Maintain the third-party carrier program, ensuring all required documentation, including insurance, safety ratings, and compliance records, is current and complete
- Collaborate effectively as a member of the National Transportation team to support consistent service delivery and operational objectives
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience in transportation pricing, rate negotiation, and preparation of transportation service quotes
- Participate in driver performance evaluations and assessments, providing feedback and supporting performance improvement as required
- Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external customers regarding delivery status, transportation requirements, and service execution
- Provide timely, accurate, and thorough responses to customer emails, inquiries, and service requests
- Match, organize, and file daily transportation documentation, while completing order tracking, data entry, and required reporting
- Provide regional transportation coverage, support, and solutions for all Western Future Transfer locations




- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned

Required Knowledge and Skills:

- Solid knowledge of transportation regulations, shipping documentation, and industry compliance requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in dispatching, fleet operations, and logistics management
- Proven ability to effectively plan, coordinate, and optimize transportation resources
- Solid teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Samsara is considered an asset
- Demonstrated ability to manage difficult and stressful situations with professionalism, composure, and diplomacy
- Robust attention to detail with sound judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent customer service skills, including professional and courteous telephone etiquette

Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
